Racial Disparities in Prostate Cancer

ZERO’s new Racial Disparities Task Force is helping to bridge the gap between racial and health disparities in prostate cancer among Black men. Stay tuned for more details about new events and resources, and register for the ZERO Summit to hear directly from Task Force members discussing health equity in prostate cancer.

Demystifying Clinical Trials

Dr. Ryan Headshot

Several myths surround clinical trials which leads to serious uncertainty for prostate cancer patients. A clinical trial is a research study that involves people. The studies are an investigation of an experimental treatment to see if it is safe to use and effective in fighting the disease.

As a patient, you may consider enrolling in a clinical trial to gain access to experimental new therapies or techniques that are still in the investigational stage. To help you with your decision, ZERO sat down with Dr. Charles Ryan, a member of ZERO’s Medical Advisory Board, to debunk several myths that patients often ask their physicians.

There are many investigational research trials for metastatic prostate cancer being conducted at this time by Merck. To learn more, please visit https://merckoncologyclinicaltrials.com or call 1-888-577-8839. (This content is provided in partnership with Merck.)
