Register as a virtual participant and you'll still be eligible to earn ZERO recognition rewards that will be mailed directly to you, all while supporting prostate cancer patients and families.

About the ZERO Run/Walk
Why does prostate cancer still need attention?
One in eight American men will be diagnosed in their lifetime. But prostate cancer is also highly treatable, with a 99% survival rate when caught in its earliest stages. Funds raised expand access to lifesaving screening, education, navigation, support, and community programs that help improve and save lives from prostate cancer.
I'm not a runner. How else can I participate?
Don’t worry, you don’t need to run or even walk if you’re not up to it. What’s important is that we support each other and raise awareness about prostate cancer. You can make your impact by fundraising in your own way. Post on social media and invite your friends to follow along and join you in the fun.
You can also start your own fundraiser — whether it's a bake sale or the sale of your artwork or clothing — let your network know that proceeds will help improve and save lives for prostate cancer patients.
However you take action, you'll be spreading crucial awareness for the cause and making direct support possible for patients and families affected by prostate cancer. Share how you're making an impact by posting a photo on social media using the hashtag #ZEROprostatecancer.
How are donations used?
100% of donations go to ZERO Prostate Cancer, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 59-3400922) to provide education and awareness to promote risk understanding and early detection; navigation for treatment, insurance, and related costs; emotional support through groups, mentors, and community connections; advocacy to advance improved prostate cancer policy and care; and health equity initiatives that remove barriers for those at highest risk.
Registration FAQ
How do I register?
Click “Register Today” and follow the prompts. Need help? Call (202) 303-3110.
Do I have to register to participate?
Yes. Whether you’re joining in-person or virtually, you need to register. Registration helps us plan and communicate event details and includes a standard waiver.
How much does it cost to register?
Registration is free. The Run/Walk is a fundraising event. Need help getting your fundraising started? Check out our fundraising tools and tips or reach out to us today at races@zerocancer.org or call us at (202) 303-3110.
I already registered for free – how do I get a shirt?
Raise at least $100 by the fundraising deadline, and we’ll mail your shirt before the event*. Patients and Survivors who register before the deadline will receive shirts by mail before the event, regardless of fundraising level. If you reach the $100 minimum after the deadline (or register after it), your shirt will be mailed after the event.
*Shirts are being mailed via USPS or FedEx. As with any shipping provider, delays may occur.
Please note: there will be no t-shirts available for pick up either pre-event or on event day. Thank you for your commitment to ZERO Prostate Cancer and our efforts to simplify our t-shirt process.
How do I register family or friends?
Start your registration, then on the Registration Summary page, select “Register Additional Person” to add adults and dependents for whom you can sign the waiver.
Should I start a team or join as an individual?
If others are joining you, start a team. Coming solo? Register as an individual. No team size minimum.
I registered as an individual, but meant to join/start a team. What now?
Email races@zerocancer.org with your name, team name, and event city. We’ll make the change.
I'm not sure I want to participate in person. What does the virtual participation option look like?
Use the RunGo app (Apple/Android) to run or walk your own course. Join on event day or choose a day that works for you. Your activity is tracked in-app, and virtual participants are eligible for all recognition rewards.
It's a great option for those who can't make it in person. Virtual participants are still eligible to earn all ZERO recognition rewards!

Fundraising FAQ
I want to fundraise, but don't know how. Where should I start?
We encourage all participants to customize their page with their own photo and story of why they're participating. You can also send emails to friends and family, and easily track your donations. Please view our Fundraising Ideas and Resources page for more information. You can also email ZERO's Peer-to-Peer Events Team at races@zerocancer.org or call us at (202) 303-3110 for assistance and ideas.
Is there a fundraising minimum?
No minimum. We encourage setting a goal of at least $100 to earn your event t-shirt and help expand access to education, screening, navigation, and support services.
Every registrant gets a personal fundraising page plus coaching, tools, and templates. Email races@zerocancer.org or call (202) 303-3110 for ideas and support.
I created a Facebook fundraiser before registering. Can I connect it?
Not retroactively. Register first, then create a Facebook Fundraiser from your Participant Center to sync donations. For existing fundraisers, email races@zerocancer.org to request a transfer of eligible donations; then close the old fundraiser and start a new one via the Participant Center for future credit.
What if someone gives me a cash donation?
Please mail a personal check covering the full amount of the cash donation you received, along with the corresponding donation form to ZERO. We will be able to credit your friends and family for their generosity when you provide their information. If this is not possible, you can always bring cash donations and a donation form to the event. Download ZERO’s donation form to let us know who donated.
I received a donation, but don't see it on my fundraising page.
Mailed donations typically post within two weeks of receipt. If it’s missing after that, email races@zerocancer.org.
Are there awards or incentives for top fundraisers?
Yes. The top individual fundraiser and the top fundraising teams receive special recognition on event day (donations must post by 3 p.m. the day prior). All participants can unlock individual recognition rewards. Learn more on our Fundraising Ideas and Resources page.
Can I keep fundraising after the event?
Yes. Participants can fundraise for four weeks after the event and remain eligible for recognition rewards.

The ZERO Prostate Cancer San Antonio Run/Walk brings the community together to raise funds and save lives. Your participation makes a real difference for people in our community facing prostate cancer.
Funds from the San Antonio Run/Walk power ZERO’s resources and programs—including financial navigation, emotional support, education, and care coordination—so patients and families get timely help.
As the nation’s #1 provider of prostate cancer resources, programs, and services, ZERO has supported millions of people at risk, diagnosed, and their families. As the voice of the prostate cancer community, we break down barriers to survival by closing gaps in screening, diagnosis, treatment, and care—bringing attention to those most likely to be impacted.
Together, participants nationwide have raised $48 million to expand access to lifesaving screening, care coordination, financial navigation, and community support. The ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk is the nation’s only event series solely dedicated to prostate cancer. Every step helps save lives.
