We're proud to share that we've partnered with Consumers for Quality Care (CQC). CQC is a coalition of advocates and former policymakers working to provide a voice for patients in the healthcare debate as they demand better care. Led by a distinguished board of directors, including former Members of Congress, healthcare advocates, and industry leaders, CQC is dedicated to ensuring patients have access to quality, affordable healthcare. "Joining forces with CQC amplifies our shared commitment to elevate patient voices, expand access to quality care, and help improve outcomes for all prostate cancer patients.” —Courtney Bugler, CFRE, President & CEO Together, we'll work to prioritize patients in healthcare discussions through research, consumer-oriented advocacy, and direct engagement with critical healthcare issues. Last weekend, David Moffett, our Atlanta Black Men's Prostate Cancer Initiative Support Group leader, hosted a truly impactful prostate cancer awareness event in his community. The event featured an esteemed clinician panel of prostate cancer experts, including our newest Medical Advisory Board member, Leanne Woods-Burnham, Ph.D.. Their participation and insights were invaluable in providing attendees with information on prostate cancer research, patient support, and navigating disparities some men face. 🩺💡 We are incredibly grateful for the support and expertise of our Medical Advisory Board and the clinicians who participated in this event. Their collaboration with Champions like David Moffett is crucial in advancing our mission to end prostate cancer.

Did you know? "Aside from some skin cancers, prostate cancers are the most common cancers among men in the U.S. Nearly 270,000 people in America will be diagnosed with prostate cancer this year, and it is the fourth most common cancer worldwide," says Marc Garnick. Prostate cancer is just as impactful on men's health as breast cancer is on women's health. Yet, it's talked about significantly less. We need to continue to raise awareness about risk factors, screening methods, and early detection because these things truly help save lives. #ProstateCancer #Cancer #Healthcare #MensHealth #Awareness

Thank you, Jared Krieger! We are so honored to have your support and can't wait for this event! #ZEROProstateCancer #ZERORunWalk
I am excited to announce that I have been chosen by ZERO Prostate Cancer to serve as the Executive Chairman of the 2024 Dr. Sanford J. Siegel Prostate Cancer Run/Walk at Towson University on Sunday, September 29th 2024. About 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with Prostate Cancer during their lifetime, according to the American Cancer Society. Early Detection is key, but financial barriers to screening exist in many areas. ZERO Prostate Cancer's mission is simple: provide partnership, education and funding to areas that desperately need Prostate Cancer awareness and screening resources. This mission is personal to me; My Grandfather was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer many years ago and underwent curative treatment. However, this will forever put me at an increased risk for Prostate Cancer. Many men are unaware of the factors that put them at increased risk for Prostate Cancer, and ZERO Prostate Cancer works tirelessly to educate the public on these risks and connect those at risk to screening and treatment resources. In partnership with Chesapeake Urology Associates, we are so excited to bring this event to the Baltimore Region for another year. This year our goal is to be the LARGEST ZERO Prostate Cancer Event in the entire country by raising 1 Million Dollars, but we can't do that without your help! Not sure how to participate or want to join a team? Everyone is welcome to join Team Defender One: https://lnkd.in/gRNr52T5 We are looking for partners of all levels: Corporate, Personal, Team Leaders, and Executive Committee Members to be a part of this amazing mission. If you or your business is interested in getting involved (on any level), please reach out to me so we can discuss a mutually beneficial partnership. We have options that suit everyones needs, budgets and ROI. I am incredibly honored to be chosen to lead this event and I look forward to the largest ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk in the country! We are deeply saddened by the passing of Congressman Donald M. Payne Jr., a dedicated prostate cancer advocate and a champion for early detection. Rep. Payne was a passionate supporter of prostate cancer research funding. Just last week, in one of his final acts as a Member of Congress, he signed this year’s Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP) Dear Colleague letter. The PCRP is the most impactful research program for prostate cancer. Rep. Payne was also a co-sponsor of the PSA Screening for HIM Act. This is groundbreaking legislation that would waive prostate cancer screening cost-sharing for those at highest risk. We are grateful to Rep. Payne for the many hours he spent meeting with prostate cancer patients, survivors, and care partners on Capitol Hill. His tireless efforts to improve the lives of those affected by this disease will not be forgotten. We honor his legacy and remain committed to the fight against prostate cancer. 💙

Will you take one minute out of your day to voice support for the 3.3 million American men living with prostate cancer? The United States Department of Defense's Prostate Cancer Research Program has led to eight new treatments, but additional funding is needed from Congress to continue this critical work. You can ask your local Representative to sign the letter supporting this increase with one click or a simple text. Act now to save lives. 🇺🇸💻📱
Urge Congress to increase funding for prostate cancer research!
