Prostate Cancer Research Backed at $110M
FANTASTIC News! The House Appropriations Committee is backing a historic $10M increase in funding for the Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP). This brings the total PCRP budget proposal at the Department of Defense (DoD) to a program record $110M.
This win is all because of ZERO's Champions from around the U.S. who stormed Capitol Hill in February during the ZERO Prostate Cancer Summit in Washington, D.C.

This is a major victory for patients and families that are in the fight right now as this funding will ensure as many as a dozen new brilliant ideas could become tomorrow's treatments and diagnostic tools.

Matching Funds: Only a Few Weeks Remain!
Meet Jay, a grandfather in his 70s who was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Jay was scheduled to begin eight weeks of radiation treatment, but could not afford the associated costs that were required by his insurance company.
Men who have prostate cancer are falling through the cracks every day. Jay was in limbo, not able to complete his prescribed treatment plan. By calling ZERO's free navigation service, Jay was able to get financial assistance to cover some of his treatment costs and start his radiation.
Time is running out for matching funds that can save a patient like Jay. Donate now to make sure no man has to face his battle alone.
Gene Mutations Don't Discriminate Men vs. Women
After Ed Hoppe was diagnosed with prostate cancer, he learned that it was caused by a hereditary gene mutation. This information, combined with the extensive family history of cancer, prompted Ed's two daughters to investigate if they had the same mutation as their father.
In this video, hear how Ellen Hoppe, Ed's youngest daughter, received genetic testing to find out if she may be at an increased risk of developing cancer within her lifetime.
