Happy Father's Day
Some men wear the title of husband, partner, mentor, hero, coach, or friend. Others wear the title of Dad. You do so much and inspire those around you. Today, we wish all of the Dads and men who play important roles in our lives, a Happy Father's Day!
For some of us, Father's Day may look different this year. Our hearts are with you as you carry on your Father's legacy. They will never be forgotten. ❤️
We're Not Gonna Take It Educational Campaign
ZERO is proud to partner with Jay Jay French – guitarist, manager, record producer and founding member of the heavy metal band Twisted Sister. The rock and roller is a prostate cancer survivor and national spokesperson for the education campaign designed to motivate men to take action about prostate cancer, learn about risk factors, such as family history of the disease, and if diagnosed, understand their treatment options. The We're not Gonna Take It national educational campaign is brought to you with support from Bayer. Learn more about Jay Jay's story in a newly released ZERO Podcast and take the Truth or Twisted prostate cancer quiz.
Racial Disparities Symposium
Did you know that African American men are 1.8 times more likely to be diagnosed with—and 2.2 times more likely to die from—prostate cancer than white men? Please join us on Thursday, June 24th from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM ET for ZERO's inaugural Racial Disparities in Prostate Cancer Symposium to discuss both challenges and possible solutions to these complex issues. The event is virtual, so you can attend from the comfort of your home.
In honor of Men's Health Month, we invite you to hear directly from members of ZERO's Racial Disparities Task Force, learn about racial disparities in prostate cancer treatment and outcomes, explore structural racism and how it affects the health of Black men, and get informed on important research programs aimed at better understanding racial disparities in prostate cancer.
Register now and join hundreds of fellow patients and loved ones nationwide at this important prostate cancer education event.
Register Today for a Fall Run/Walk
Exciting news! The ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk series will return to local communities with in-person events starting August 7th in Omaha, NE. Registration for many run/walks are open now. Register now at zerocancer.run.
COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place at each event, and virtual participation options will be available nationwide. The virtual participation option will be held through the Charge Running app, there's even live music and a chat feature. Don't see any run/walks in your area? Join us virtually for the National Virtual Run/Walk (many dates to choose from).
We need you to help us show those who have been impacted by prostate cancer that they are not alone.
New State Prostate Cancer Screening Laws
ZERO's advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C., and around the country never slow down. Thanks to the hard work and consistent outreach of ZERO advocates, we showed very strong Congressional support for the Prostate Cancer Research Program. One hundred and fifty Representatives signed our letter supporting $120 million in funding for the PCRP and 20 Senators joined the Senate letter. This is an important part of our effort to ensure a robust federal investment in innovative treatments for this disease.
At the state level, ZERO continues to fight to ensure that all men have access to the early prostate cancer screening they need. In Texas and California, we got very close to passing bills that would remove out of pocket costs for prostate cancer screening and are already ramping up for the next legislative sessions.
There is really exciting news from Rhode Island. As of January 1, 2022, there will be no out of pocket costs for prostate cancer screening for men who receive their care in-network. This is a huge win for a tiny state and we can't wait to ZERO out prostate cancer screening costs around the country.
Only Days Left For Your Gift to Be Matched!
“ |
The stress of a diagnosis can be excruciating. CC's family was his support but I knew he needed more. I found ZERO and it's the best thing we've done.
- Keisha Hampton, Caregiver

Time is running out and patients are counting on YOU. Today your gift can change a life. With ZERO's 100 percent match, your gift will be DOUBLED, and that means you will have TWICE the impact. Vulnerable patients need a place to turn. There is no better time to give, as right now every dollar you give will be matched. With your help, more patients who are experiencing physical, mental, and financial distress can turn to ZERO for the support they urgently need.
With prostate cancer cases reaching historic highs in 2021, we won't stand by while this disease hurts more families. For a limited time, generous donors are matching gifts up to $100,000! Every dollar you give will be doubled by our match through June 30th. Your generosity will change lives.

Know Your PSMA
A rise in your prostate-specific antigen (PSA) level can tell you if your metastatic prostate cancer is progressing. Prostate-specific membrane antigen, or PSMA, can tell you so much more. Once your cancer has spread to other parts of your body, PSA should not be the only biomarker you check.
