Support level funding for the Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP) in FY2021

Dear [Senator],

I am contacting you to request that as an appropriator, you include $110 million for the Department of Defense's (DoD) Prostate Cancer Research Program (PCRP). In 2020, more than 191,900 men are estimated to be diagnosed with prostate cancer this year, and approximately 33,300 will die from it.

Among American males, prostate cancer is the second most diagnosed cancer and is the second highest cancer-related cause of death. As someone who has been impacted by prostate cancer, I am asking you to sign the Dear Colleague letter to the Senate Appropriations Committee being circulated by Senators Mike Crapo (R-ID) and Robert Menendez (D-NJ).

As your constituent, I want to thank you for your time and your service to our state. On behalf of those affected by prostate cancer, we hope you will support this vital funding to help us end this disease once and for all. To sign onto the letter, your office can contact Kellie McConnel, Kellie_McConnell@crapo.senate.gov, as well as Diane Adamson, Diane_Adamson@menendez.senate.gov, or John Butchko, John_Butchko@menendez.senate.gov in Senator Menendez's office.

Thank you in advance for your support,
