In Honor of My Father...Freddie Lee Rose
Dear Friends,
Some have asked, 'why as a woman do I advocate for prostate cancer?' When my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer I was by his side involved in every aspect with the Urologist and decision making regarding the best treatment for him. As a woman, daughter, I experienced up close and personal the affect this disease had on him physically and emotionally. I felt the impact of how this disease affects the family in more ways than you can imagine.
My dad survived prostate cancer for many years because he was detected early which is why I ask all men to get checked now! I know that he smiles upon me, proud that I'm passionate about this cause to help men and their families. I honor him.
One in seven fathers, sons, brothers, partners and friends will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, including more than 180,000 throughout the US this year. Let's put an end to this!
I will be attending the Zero Virtual Summit March 4-8, 2022 to advocate for policies supporting prostate cancer research, access to care, and funding for local cancer prevention and awareness programs.
I am proud to take my voice to our nation's Capitol to advocate on behalf of you, prostate cancer patients and their families.
Help me raise money for prostate cancer research and make a difference
in the lives of men, their families; our brothers and sisters.
Please support my cause by making a tax deductible contribution today!
