I have been personally touched by prostate cancer, having been diagnosed in 2019.  I feel very fortunate to have had excellent care and the loving support of my family and colleagues, as well as the opportunity to live a full and active life. Despite some ups and downs with my health and the need for different treatments along the way, I haven’t missed a beat in my daily training routine. I am well aware that this is not always the case for many men, so I am thankful every day that I can view my cancer as an unwelcomed guest rather than an overwhelming burden in my daily life.  It is my privilege to be able to participate in an event such as this and meet other patients and people whose lives have been touched by cancer and raise funds to help support efforts that may someday help eradicate this disease and provide care for all patients.
