No Shave November 2018
As in years past I'm losing my razor for the month of November to raise awareness for prostate cancer prevention and fundraise for life-saving research.
One in nine men will be diagnosed with this disease. Stats like that are hard to comprehend, but I look at pictures of my wedding and think that one of those men will have to share this terrible news some day.
But we can change that reality. Early detection is our best means. If you're a man over 40, get yourself checked. If you love a man over 40, encurage him to do so. We should not be losing fathers, husbands, brothers to this disease any longer.
Top donor gets to decide how I'll shave my beard and cut my hair on December 1st. As ever, it won't be pretty. Ask your employer if they'll match your contribution.
I do this in memory of Ed Johnson, whose remarkable battle shed so much light on the late stages of this disease. Share your reason and help rid the world of prostate cancer.
