No-Shave November; The Redux
Last year's photo evidence of our top donor's requested stache-- the Monkey Tail
It's been a bit of a hectic November, and I'm only just getting to making the page for the fundraiser, but one thing remains unchanged: I haven't shaved this month.
Every year since college, inspired by the Movember movement, I have grown out my beard for the month of November to raise awareness for prostate and testicular cancer. In the last couple of years, I began raising money for Zero (ZeroCancer.org), an organization that funds prostate cancer research and provides support to prostate cancer patients and their families.
No pressure, and no minimums-- if you want to donate, any amount would be appreciated-- but know that there is a prize for whoever gives the largest donation by December 4 at 11:59 PM.
The winner gets the opportunity to choose any style in which I must wear my facial hair for 24 hours, and provide photographic proof that I allowed for public viewership of the winner's masterpiece (the kids at the Boys & Girls Club of Durham loved last year's style, shown above).
Don't worry; you can still donate after December 4... I just need to be clean-shaven by the 6th, so the styling for the contest winner must be done on the 5th. #firstworldproblems
