Thank you for visiting my page to ZERO out Prostate Cancer!
For the third year, my family and I are participating in this event for an organization very close to our hearts, ZERO Prostate Cancer. My dad is in his fifth year living with prostate cancer, and he is passionate about helping others in need going through the same horrible disease. He is just that kind of man, helping others all the time. The money raised provides much needed funds for research, education, and direct assistance for local prostate cancer patients and families.
I encourage anyone taking the time to read this to make sure all the men in your life are getting regular annual checkups. Know the symptoms and know that the normal range for a PSA reading is 1.0-1.5. My dad missed his annual appointment in 2018 and began experiencing urinary issues the following year. At the instance of my mom, he made an appointment which ultimately found that his PSA reading was 20. He was diagnosed with a very aggressive metastatic prostate cancer in December 2019 and he will be on VERY expensive life-saving medication for the rest of his life. He is fortunate to have insurance where he only pays a fraction of what would be $15,000 monthly without insurance. Many are not as fortunate to have insurance or even insurance that covers a large portion of this cost - and that is why your donation is so important.
Donations will be put to use immediately by helping to fund emotional and financial support resources and assistance programs for prostate cancer patients and families in need.
Thanks to everyone that continues to support our family in every way. We appreciate your support.
Thank you!
