Race Day Parking Information: We recommend taking the metro to the race using the Blue or Yellow lines. The closest metro stop is Pentagon City. We strongly encourage you not to park in the Rite Aid or Harris Teeter parking lots as those meters are enforced on Saturdays.
ZERO is proud to partner with Potomac Urology to end prostate cancer.
The 2018 ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk - Capital Area features a 5K run/walk, 1 mile walk, Kids' Superhero Dash for Dad, and virtual Snooze for Dudes program. The race kicks off with the Kids Superhero Dash for Dad, kids under 9 dress up like their favorite superheroes and we give them capes for their run - it's adorable to see them running for their Dads! The Washington Nationals Running Presidents George, Abe and Teddy will dash with the kids and be available for photographs 7:45-8:45 a.m.
Following the 5K or 1 mile run/walk we have a very special ZERO HERO Prostate Cancer Survivor & Caregiver Recognition Ceremony and all of our ZERO HEROES get to take home a ZERO hat and swag bag. All race participants will also receive the 2018 race shirt and enjoy free food and drinks. Complimentary DC Brau beverage (Must be 21+) will be served at Sine Irish Pub, hosts of our post-race party. There's something for everyone so bring the whole family out to celebrate Dad this Father's Day weekend!
Where the Money Goes
The funds raised from 2018 ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk - Capital Area are invested around the country to provide research for new treatments, free prostate cancer testing, and educate men and families about prostate cancer. No other prostate cancer charity spends more per dollar on programs - more than 85 cents. ZERO puts every donation to good use.
