Running for a cure.
I was diagnosed in July of 2015 with advanced prostate cancer at the age of 50. Since then, I continue toundergo a mult-modal treatment regemine that to date has included surgery, radiation, and drug therapies. I am fortunate in that and I can continue to live a mostly normal life. During my journey over the past few years, I have come to know many who are not nearly as fortunate as I. They are in the fight of their lives.
I'm participating in the ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk for them - my brothers in this fight - because I am lucky enough to still able to do so.
This year, I will be running for a good friend that I have met on this journey. A fellow warrior and one hell of a fighter. This one is for you, Christopher Caminiti! You are a bad ass, and it will be an honor to wear your team support shirt across the finish line!
To all of you out there taking the time to read this, I genuinly appreciate any and all support. If you choose to donate, thank you very much. More importantly, please help spread the word for men to get checked. Start a conversation with your doctor. Learn about your PSA. Early detection is key to beating this cancer.
Thank you for your consideration and support.
