Welcome to My Personal Page--Team Poppa, Pappy and Cuggy
One day everything was fine and the next day it wasn't! We found out on a Tuesday that my husband (Cuggy) had prostate cancer. We were aware of this type cancer as our brother in law, Billy Wayne, (Poppa) had been diagnosed three years earlier and had been fighting it like a Champion. The same week Cuggy found out about his diagnosis, Billy Wayne lost his battle.
After several appointments with the doctor a plan was in place for Cuggy to undergo a radical prostectomy. We are blessed that Cuggy is now 4 weeks post surgery and is doing wonderfully. All cancer was contained within the prostate and at this time no further treatment is needed. Praise the Lord!
My mission now is to educate and inform others about prostate cancer and to raise money for Zero The End of Prostate Cancer to put an end to prostate cancer.
One in nine fathers, sons, husbands, brothers, partners, and friends will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, including 12,600 men in Texas this year alone.
I'm participating in the ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk because I want to put an end to prostate cancer. Please support me by making a tax-deductible contribution today!
Your donation provides much needed funds for research, education and awareness, and patient assistance for prostate cancer patients in our local community.
Team up with Team Poppa, Pappy and Cuggy to fight prostate cancer; you’ll feel proud knowing you’ve helped save lives.
