This One's Still For Terry
One in nine fathers, sons, husbands, brothers, partners, and friends will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, including 11,860 men in Florida this year alone. In 2008, one of those men was my brother Terry.
It was a 10 year journey through the maze of diagnoses, treatments, tests, scans and surgeries. Terry's prostate cancer journey came to an end on September 14th, 2018. I don't use the words he "lost his battle" because Terry was a staunch warrior until his very last breath.
The journey for Terry may be over … but it's not for me and my family. My commitment to ZERO, to patient education and outreach, to research, to political advocacy, and to the search for a cure, because we will continue. What started out in Terry's name will continue for all of the men in my life, my fellow advocates and the amazing people I have met along the way. For the men and their families that still battle this beast today. I will continue to "warrior on" for my PC family.
I'm participating in the ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk because I want to put an end to prostate cancer. Please support me by making a tax-deductible contribution today!
Your donation provides much needed funds for research, education and awareness, and patient assistance for prostate cancer patients in our local community.
As we cross the finish line together, you will have made a difference. Team up with me and let's cross that finish line together to fight prostate cancer; you’ll feel proud knowing you’ve helped save lives.
