The Crichtons Walk to Fight Prostate Cancer
Our family's journey with prostate cancer began in the summer of 2014 when Steve was diagnosed with advanced, aggressive prostate cancer at the age of 53. Our twin boys were 5 years old, and Steve is an active dad who loves nothing more than biking, hiking, swimming, playing with our boys. We were devastated and could think of nothing but Steve not being around to see our boys grow up.
Thankfully, we connected with a great cancer care team right away. After 40 radiation treatments and two years of hormone treatment, Steve is in remission. But we pray constantly that his PSA levels will stay low because there is no CURE, only control.
One in nine fathers, sons, husbands, brothers, partners, and friends will be diagnosed with prostate cancer. If you have a man you love in your life, father, son, husband, uncle, friend, encourage them to get an annual prostate exam. It might save their life!
A donation to this fundraiser will help doctors and scientists find a cure, maybe a vaccine, that will wipe out prostate cancer so my sons, and your sons, don't ever have to worry about this cancer!
