Thank you for stopping by my personal fundraising page!
One in nine men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer. My dad was one of those men. In 2001, after finishing my freshman year of college, I spent the summer partially helping my dad as he received chemo for his prostate cancer. I can tell some funny retrospective stories about that summer, but it was also emotionally difficult and matured me in ways I could not have anticipated.
My dad got better, then got worse and passed in July 2005. I participate in the ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk in his memory and to contribute to raising awareness and funding for research.
Thank you for visiting this page, for reading my personal notes and for any contributions.
p.s. i shared a longer story last year but my team is called 'deadly dancers' in honor of my dad's mid 90s fantasy football team.
