Dave Reid is running for his dad
Last year my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer, underwent treatment and is doing well this year. I ran in the Zero Cancer 5K in his honor last year and I'm doing it again this year here in Omaha in his honor again. I'd love nothing more for my birthday to have your support for me in the race and donations for this organization. They're working hard to provide support for patients, increase awareness, and improve earlier and free screenings testing for men.
I'm hoping that this is the race that I can finally jog without walking the entire time. This will be my 8th race of 2019 and let's do it!
I'd appreciate your support this year, whether it's cheering me on, a donation, a hug or high-five when I see you next, or helping talk with your family and friends about screening for prostate cancer. I've set a $500 fundraising goal for myself this year and I'd love to double that goal again. Any donations made are also tax-deductible. And check if your company offers donation matching as well!
One in nine fathers, sons, husbands, brothers, partners, and friends will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, including 750 men in Nebraska this year alone.
I'm participating in the ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk because I want to put an end to prostate cancer. Please support me by making a tax-deductible contribution today!
Your donation provides much needed funds for research, education and awareness, and patient assistance for prostate cancer patients in our local community.
Team up with me to fight prostate cancer; you’ll feel proud knowing you’ve helped save lives.
