Dear Friends and Family,
Team Nikituk would like to thank you for all of your support over the past 12 years to help us work with ZERO - The End of Prostate Cancer to raise awareness about early detection of prostate cancer and fight for important research to find a cure. While there have been vast improvements in awareness, detection and treatment of prostate cancer since our Dad and Husband, Paul Nikituk, passed away 12 years ago at the young age of 55, there is still much work to do. Please help us continue the fight to protect future generations of men from dying from this disease by going to this link and making a donation: support.zerocancer.org/goto/teamnikituk2019
Unfortunately, the facts and statistics about prostate cancer are crippling:
- Every 18 minutes another American man dies from prostate cancer - that's more than 80 deaths per day
- 1 in 9 American men will have prostate cancer during his lifetime
- Prostate Cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among men
- Currently, there are nearly 2.9 million American men living with the disease
ZERO has helped over the years to spread awareness and further advances in treatment - both of which are saving lives. ZERO works tirelessly to create Generation ZERO - the first generation of men free from prostate cancer. The funds donated to ZERO help save lives by:
- Supporting research and new treatments
- Educating and testing men
- Uniting communities to spread awareness and provide support for men suffering from prostate cancer
Team Nikituk started working with ZERO because of the devastating loss of our Dad/Husband to this disease. We continue our fight in his memory not just for him, but for friends who we've lost to this disease, friends who are prostate cancer survivors, men we've met through ZERO who are standing up and raising their voices to fight this disease, friends and family who are at risk of getting prostate cancer and for future generations of men to come.
