Dodge the Digits
I met a man in 2006 that was determined to reach out to as many men as possible and raise awareness for Prostate Cancer. He advocated to get early PSA screenings. I am forever grateful to Brad, he came into my life for a purpose, it was to have a role in saving mine. May he Rest In Peace.
In January of 2018, I went for my annual physical (which included the PSA test I had learned of from meeting Brad years ago).
I received the shocking results that I had prostate cancer. I had an amazing team of doctors that provided honest and critical information I needed to make my decision on the course of treatment. At 44 years old, I was the youngest they had cared for. There was no family history, or no specific warning signs.
After successful surgery and nearly 16 months later I am cancer free. Today I advocate and raise awareness to remain cancer free and for my sons.
Sincerely - Justin
