Chicago - SEA Blue Run/Walk - Clyde Russell Bond

It’s that time again.

On September 17, I will be participating in the SEA Blue Chicago Prostate Cancer Walk/Run to help support the Zero Prostate Cancer organization (formally Us TOO International). Zero Cancer provides support, education and advocacy at no charge for those affected by prostate cancer. One in eight men will develop this terrible disease in his lifetime.

This will be my 15th walk, the 11th since my partner Don passed away. This event was important to him as well as myself. Don was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of prostate cancer in late 1999. He was a trooper helping other prostate cancer patients across the country by participating in a blog where he made friends and passed along information on new and existing treatments. One month before he died he was up in front of an UsToo Group discussing his long struggle and trying to give others some encouragement to not give up.
