Hi.  Bob here.  If you're reading this you probably know that I've been fighting this ugly disease, prostate cancer, for ten years now.  I'm much more fortunate than many who have been diagnosed with the aggressive stage 4 form of this disease because I'M STILL HERE.  I'm here because doctors diagnosed it EARLY and I've been receiving state-of-the-art care. And I plan to be around for quite some time.  Over this past year or two I've gotten myself seriously involved in advocating for and providing counsel and advice to others and their families who are dealing with this deadly disease.  Here are links to a few TV stories that will give you some insight into my two-day-a week volunteer efforts:

I've also been reaching out to local businesses and corporations in an attempt to raise funds to help others afflicted with this disease.  Unfortunately this process is very slow but I am very persistent.  

Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in men in this country.  288,300 Americans will be diagnosed with it this year.  But do you know what the most important prostate cancer statistic is?  The 5-year survival rate when diagnosed in its earliest stages is over 99%! 99%!!!  And you or your loved one can significantly improve the odds of an early detection by just discussing it with your doctor and getting tested! It saved my life and IT COULD SAVE YOURS!  As I like to say, the earlier you start getting tested, the better the likelihood of catching it early!
