Napa Valley Run/Walk

It has been a year and it is time again for the Prostate Posse to leap (or shuffle) back into action to raise money for a cause that is very important to me!  I am 3+ years into my battle with prostate cancer.  And while things have not gone as well as I had hoped, with the support of family and friends, I continue to fight.  And I have hope.  I have hope because new treatments are being developed rapidly and I have already benefited from some of this new technology.  I am also fortunate to have great medical insurance (Thank you Kaiser!) that has without failure covered every bit of treatment my doctors have recommended.  But many are not so lucky.  I cannot fathom what it would be like to know there is a treatment out there that could prolong your life and not have access for financial reasons.  And ZERO Prostate Cancer supports both the development of new science to fight prostate cancer and also helping those that aren’t as fortunate to gain access to life saving medicine.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank the medical staff at Kaiser Vallejo, Napa and Vacaville as well as the Radiation Oncology Department at Queen of the Valley in Napa – I am beyond grateful for your care, professionalism, and mad skills at killing those freakin prostate cells and managing the mess they leave behind.
