One in nine fathers, sons, husbands, brothers, partners, and friends
will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, including 10,280 men in Illinois and Missouri this year alone. As some of you may or may not know, my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer just a few years ago. This was a direct result of exposure to Agent Orange during the time he served in Vietnam. He made the decision to have his prostate removed and has since suffered through some of the harsh side effects that come with this surgery. Although he survived, some men are not that lucky.
I'm participating in the ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk because I want to put an end to prostate cancer. I have created a team for an upcoming 5k and I'd like to ask for your participation and support. Your donation provides much needed funds for research, education and awareness, and patient assistance for prostate cancer patients in our local community.
Team up with me to fight prostate cancer for not only my dad, but others who may be affected.
