My Journey to IRONMAN Kona 2018 and a Cure for Cancer.
Dear Family and Friends,
Once again I am on a fund raising journey. This time my journey will take me to the hardest challenge yet. IRONMAN KONA, yep its the big one. Oct 13th, I will have the honor of participating on behalf of Zero Cancer. They have given me this opportuny to race and fundraise to find a cure and help those that are suffering from prostate cance, my goal is to raise $40,000. Most participants qualify to race in Kona, for me I get to race by giving back to a great cause and helping others.
IM Kona is probaly the hardest one days event in sports 2.4 mile ocean swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run to the finish in very tough conditions. I have 17hrs to finish and will do my best to represent those who support me in the race and those who are battling cancer.
One in nine fathers, sons, brothers, partners, and friends will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, including more than 164,000 throughout the U.S. this year alone.
I'm racing the 2018 IRONMAN World Championship with Team ZERO because I want to put an end to the suffering of prostate cancer and I need your support!
Help us get one step closer to Generation ZERO - the first generation of men free from prostate cancer by donating to fund research, patient financial assistance, early detection, and educational programs.
Please support me by making a tax-deductible contribution today! And as I cross the finish line, you'll feel proud knowing you helped keep families together and save lives.
Please pass this email along to others and contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you, Dixit Patel
