In September of 2009, our mom lost her husband, his siblings lost a brother, his nieces and nephews lost their uncle, his grandchildren lost their papa, his community lost a friend, and my brother, sister and I lost our dad.
This horrible disease of Prostate Cancer has impacted so many of us on a personal level, and with our dads 10th anniversay coming up in 2019, we have decided as a family that we are going to try to do something about it.
SOOOO---the Madler kids (yes- all three of us!) are taking on the crazy challenge of running the Chicago Marathon! We will be running with Team ZERO to raise money for Prostate Cancer research, family and patient support, and funding to go towards making sure that someday no families have to experience this kind of loss.
For those of you that know us well, asking for help or fundrasing is not our area of strength:). But we are going to give this a try and would so appreciate any support you can provide--not for us, but for those who have been, or will be affected.
We have a large family that is filled with uncles, brothers, sons, grandsons and nephews. We would run a million miles if it meant keeping them all healthy.
Below is the information provided from Team ZERO for the fundraising side of things. We understand that budgets are tight, and so any amount you can provide would be amazing. And if that is too much, send us your good energy as we figure out how to get all three of us across the finish line without being carried:)!
Wishing you all peace, health and blessings for 2019!!
