I'm Racing to END Prostate Cancer
Team Philibin is collaborating with ZERO in response to the tragic loss of John Philibin to prostate cancer. We aim to honor his memory by combating this disease not only for him but also for friends we have lost, survivors of prostate cancer, those at risk, and future generations of men.
Your donation provides much needed funds for research, education and awareness, and patient assistance for prostate cancer patients in our local community.
Team up with us to fight prostate cancer; you’ll feel proud knowing you’ve helped save lives.
And here was your page:
One in nine fathers, sons, husbands, brothers, partners, and friends will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, including 5,440 men in Virginia this year alone.
In August 2018, at age 53, John was diagnosed with stage IV prostate cancer. Unfortunately, three months later he succumbed to this disease after an extremely courageous fight.
John was a loving, devoted, and proud, husband and father. As both a U.S. Air Force veteran and State Department diplomatic security employee, John dedicated his life to protecting others. He found joy in every one of the 118 countries he visited during his career. Over the years, his passion as a coach for Team in Training, raising money for blood cancers, was inspiring and it only seems right to honor him in much the same way.
Team Philibin is participating in the ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk because we want to put an end to prostate cancer. Please support our efforts by making a tax-deductible contribution today! The Run/Walk has a 5K and 1-mile option and a fun, family friendly kid's superhero race! Come join in the fun on Saturday, June 15th!
I've pledged to raise at least $3,000 for ZERO and I need your support to achieve this goal. Every donation brings us one step closer to Generation ZERO - the first generation of men free from prostate cancer. Your donation will provide critical funds for research, patient financial assistance, early detection and educational programs. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of prostate cancer patients around the country!
