Help Abbie fundraise to END Prostate Cancer
This year, I'm running the Chicago Marathon in memory of my Grandpa Peter. In September 2022, while suffering from a number of health complications, Peter was diagnosed with aggressive metastatic prostate cancer. By the time it was discovered, it was already in his pelvic bones and lower spine. He suffered through many months of radiation (and side effects) to slow down growth and ultimately give himself more time with us.
With 3/4 Grandparents and other family members suffering through Cancer treatment in their lifetime, I'm grateful to have a healthy enough body to voluntarily put myself through the suffering of running the Chicago 2024 Marathon.
To make this worth it, I will be setting a goal of raising $1,750 for Team ZERO to support the one in eight fathers, sons, brothers, partners, and friends that will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime.
Every donation brings us one step closer to Generation ZERO - the first generation of men free from prostate cancer. Your donation will provide critical funds for research, patient financial assistance, early detection and educational programs.
Thank you in advance for making a difference in the lives of prostate cancer patients around the world!
Abbie xx
