Alex Markowitz: Running to End Prostate Cancer
In 2018, I lost my grandfather, Erwin Markowitz, to prostate cancer. He was not only a hero in my life but also a true hero in service, as a medic in the US Army during World War II. Running the NYC Marathon this November with Team ZERO is my way of honoring his memory and contributing to the fight against a disease that affects one in eight men.
This will be my second time running the NYC Marathon, and I've pledged to raise at least $3,000 to support ZERO's mission to end prostate cancer. Your donation will help fund critical research, patient assistance, early detection, and educational programs, moving us closer to Generation ZERO – the first generation of men free from prostate cancer.
Thank you for supporting me in this cause that means so much to my family and me!
