September 2019 - ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk Tyler

Team McAndrew

On June 21st, Father's Day, I wll be participating with Team ZERO in the Banff Half Marathon, along with our daughter, in honor of Jim!! It continues to be one of my passions to raise awareness, educate our communities and raise funds to fight prostate cancer for the men in our lives. One of my key points is that early detection saves lives and that men need to know their PSA at least by age 50; however, if a man has a family history of prostate cancer, they need to know their PSA at age 40 and get it tested EVERY YEAR!

One in nine fathers, sons, brothers, partners, and friends will be diagnosed with prostate cancer, including more than 161,000 throughout the U.S. this year alone. Never did I think that my husband, an athletic, health conscious man, would be diagnosed with life threatening prostate cancer at age 55. At the same time we had a dear younger friend who was battling for his life with advanced stage 4 prostate cancer, who passed away in September of 2017. It is for the love of my life, our son, my father-in-law, plus those families and friends battling this disease, that I fight for and raise money for in hope to one day find a prostate cancer cure!

Please join me in helping educate our communities, raise awareness and funds in fighting this cancer, along with other cancers. Feel free to contact me if you have questions. Also, if you have a loved one or friend battling prostate cancer, email their name to me and I will pray for them as I train.

Help us get one step closer to Generation ZERO - the first generation of men free from prostate cancer by donating to fund research, partient financial assistance, early detection, and educational programs.

Please support ZERO and those battling prostate cancer by making a tax-deductible contribution today! And as Stephanie and I cross the finish line, you'll feel proud knowing you helped keep families together and save lives.

Stronger together, and thank you for your support!

Cynthia
