Welcome to My Personal Page

On February 6th 2014 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer. The prognosis was 3-5 years. On this February 6th I celebrate the 6th anniversary of that delightful day.
I spent the next 48 hours angry, upset and wallowing in self pity. Then the WTF gong went off and the Who the F are you gong joined in. So in my less than thought process way I announced I was going to do a 24 hour treadmill run. LOL
Two weeks later I completed that run and raised a few dollars for Prostate Cancer awareness and finished 82 miles. Considering I had never run more than 26.2 miles it hurt to say the least. But being me I wasn't done with the crazy.
Next I ran from Pocatello Idaho to Washington DC with a marathon on each end. Since I have completed two 12 hour treadmill runs. Both over 50 miles, I attempted a Guinness record for most miles on a treadmill over 30 days. My goal was 1500. I suffered an injury and after 10 days called in quits with 300 miles in.
I have done 2 ironman races, a few 1/2 marathons and multiple shorter distances races.
I have done 2 separate sessions of chemo, 3 rounds of radiation and now I am on a monthly injection that has side effects that leave me in some sort of discomfort everyday.
I've been very lucky to have Coach Patty Greene-Brockman with me on this journey. Supporting me, kicking my ass when needed, and not treating me like a freaking baby.
This year I would like to raise 50K for Zero the Charity that has supported men like me and, me personally over the years. So it's time to do something EPIC to get my ass motivated and kicked in gear. Throw me some new challenges.
Be Healthy, Train Smart, Have Fun
