I’m more than excited to say that I'm one of a small group of people that have been selected to join Zero Prostate Cancer (ZeroCancer.org) for their inaugural trek up Mt. Kilimanjaro next September! This once-in-a-lifetime adventure is more than just a personal challenge—it’s an opportunity to support Zero’s mission to end prostate cancer and uplift patients, survivors, and families impacted by this disease. 

But here’s where I need your help: to participate in this life-changing journey, I’ve committed to raising $12,500 for this incredible cause. Every dollar you donate will directly support Zero’s programs, including early detection, research, and critical patient resources. Your gift brings hope to countless lives and helps to break down barriers to bring us closer to a future free of deaths from this disease.

Why am I doing this? Here’s the short answer:

• Cancer sucks – my Dad died from bladder cancer 10 years ago, it’s a terrible thing and I want to do something to help other families dealing with it, in honor of him.
• The timing is right – I’ve wanted to attempt a climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro for over 20 years. I came across this trek with Zero Prostate Cancer purely by happenstance, and it felt like a great way to accomplish a life goal while helping others at the same time.
• I love challenges – testing myself and working to accomplish goals have been a part of what I’ve done most of my life. Now I can prove that not only can I accomplish a physical challenge, but I can also accomplish the goal of raising the funds that will impact so many other people positively.
• Zero Prostate Cancer needs help – so many people are impacted by prostate cancer, and many have no idea where to turn for help. In the time I’ve spent with the people at ZeroCancer, I’ve become convinced this is a mission of hope and healing, and I feel like it’s my time to give back and help.
